My understanding is that you have to subscribe/pay for the business version of Word Press in order to use any of the monetizing functions. I think you should clearly state this in this article at the beginning. I think there is a degree of bait and switch here if people are just signing up for the free subscription and then finding out they have to pay for a subscription to make money. I am ok with that, it just needs to be stated up front everywhere.
"One of the reasons I've done well is because I'm quite driven," he said. "I've produced guides that haven't sold and at that point some people might have given up, but I've just carried on and tried to grow the business. Over the last few years I have been investing in search engine optimisation. It can be done but you've got to work hard." Mr McMunn now offers DVD sets for £297 and oneday seminars on launching an online publishing business for £97.
Data entering is a job that requires minimum qualification and a good understanding of excel sheets and basic understanding of internet and the laptop. Even if you are only done with the high school, you can opt for this job. The different corporate sites are always in search of people who can do data entering effectively and they usually pay well, enough to help you contribute in your expenses.
But, here's some advice. Don't look for the path of least resistance. And if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Sorry to break it to you. All of these online gurus have a bit of a leg-up on you. They've been around the so-called block and they've collected and built a following as a result. When you have that, gaining traction on an offer is much easier.
You can't expect to make any money if you just throw in that towel and call it quits right when the going gets tough. Even if you fail or you experience some setbacks, look at them as stepping stones, not road blocks. Everyone fails while trying to achieve their goals. Everyone. But, as long as you continually seek to improve, you'll make it there. It just might not happen as quickly as you had hoped.
Thanks for the comments. Ironically, this post showed up in my RSS about 10 minutes after I asked myself why I was not getting the conversions I expected. If nothing else, it was encouraging. I get several thousand hits to my blog each year. My problem is that I get hits from all over the nation and my industry (health insurance) requires a state license. I can only offer general advice to people in Califonia. In order for me to earn any money, my prospects have to live in one of the states in which I am licensed and have a competitive product. I have tried advertising on Facebook for hits in my state but have been underwhelmed. I need more state specific hits. Does Google advertising work or would you have another idea for building state specific readership.
Great list! Another suggestion would be transcribing. Transcribing really requires very little skill or capital to get started. You can sign up with companies like Elance and Odesk to find jobs OR reach straight out to producers of audio content to see if they need help. With the huge trend in podcasting a great place to start would be by perusing iTunes for podcast shows that may need help turning their audio podcast episodes into text for their website or “show notes.”
NaughtyJo is a 28-year-old mother of two — "I work a full-time job, so my only other hobby is my kids" — and as she puts it, "I do use other sites and some of the guys on there know me from [MyGirlFund]. I don't treat anyone differently or talk differently. Manners get you a long way. If you can't make a sale, making a friend has always been something I've tried to do."
They’re promoting Or buy, whatever it is They’re selling and they don’t want to tell you All of the things that go into them generating that money They don’t want to tell you things like the the Acquisition cost per lead you know leads don’t just show up You have to go find them and it can cost money to do that they don’t tell you they don’t bring up things like paying taxes or Scaling up, you know reinvesting in things like advertising they just don’t talk about it They tell you man, I grossed $2,000 this week and i’m going to show you how to do the same

If you have a great memory, can pay attention to details, and report on what you see and experience, then making money as a secret shopper will be a cinch for you. Becoming a secret shopper is as simple as you registering with a company that provides that service, then going undercover to different stores and reporting your experience as a customer. You are paid for your insight and while you are at it you can enjoy some free meals, traveling and shopping. Not only are you earning money and perks but you are also helping to set the tone for how real clients should be treated.

Really successful businesses are built around one thing: a compelling and converting offer. The offer is usually a sales page that converts visitors into buyers. This may be a video sales letter (those annoying point by point “can’t be paused” sales presentations that everyone uses… including me… because they work), long form textual sales letters (long web pages with a red headline and a buy button at the end), or a squeeze page (“free reports” in exchange for an email address).

My next self-funded business hit $160,000 in revenue in its first year alone. After that first taste of self-made success, I’ve gone on to sign consulting contracts worth tens of thousands of dollars with startups like LinkedIn and Google, launch profitable online courses, and build a following of hundreds of thousands for this blog and my podcast series.
