While most of us are aware that social media is a great resource for online marketers, Sarah makes the argument for marketers to use Twitter. On a post from her blog, Sarah notes that Twitter is easier to learn than Facebook and LinkedIn and it can grow followers faster than other social networks. She also shared a study from Forbes that found that “Twitter is the strongest social media channel for generating business-to-business (B2B) leads, outperforming Facebook and LinkedIn 9-to-1 with 82 percent of social media leads coming from Twitter.”
Thank you for telling it how it actually is John, it’s refreshing to hear it that way and surprisingly motivating. I do believe that having enough of an income to support myself is more than enough compensation for escaping the ‘boss’ and having the freedom to provide value to your audience. Millions would be nice, but not essential for it to be worth it. I look forward to your webinar. 🙂
Every year, hundreds of millions of documents are notarized in the United States: wills, mortgages, citizenship forms, handgun applications. While for decades, this has all been done in person, there is a budding crop of sites that allow notaries to take their services online. If you’re already a notary, you can sell your services online. Or, if you want to get started, check out the National Notary’s checklist for becoming a certified notary.
Boy, do I love when people cut out the BS and tell it like it is. Thanks Jon! I went into blogging last summer fairly naively, thinking because I was tenacious, a great writer, and a professional marketer that I could run laps around everybody else. Well like most, I’ve been humbled, frustrated, confused, frustrated, perplexed. I’ve tore things apart and put them back together. I’ve cursed aWeber and used four-letter words about WP, not because they were doing anything wrong, but because I couldn’t figure out code and how to make things work as a one woman band. Oh the joys. I’m not giving up. I have my nose to the keyboard and will attend your webinar. Thanks for the frankness.
I know the feeling Chaz. If there is one thing all successful Freebie Traders have in common, it’s that we all spent a bunch of time learning the system, lol. Hey, we all can do better at what we are currently doing and that’s the reason for what we will be doing. As long as we are all learning and improving, that’s what counts. Glad to have you on board.
I am 17 in May and currently studying year 12. I don’t have a job though have tried a couple times. Given i have exams coming up i can’t manage a normal job but need some source of income – even if its small. I’m not all that technical so a lot of the things up there don’t work. I have strong english skills, love working with kids. I like sport, , languages animals and can cook. I have tried to get babysitting but haven’t had much luck so far.
If you have a good idea for an app, and the skills to create it, then producing your own premium app can be profitable. However, with so many free apps available, it may be hard to convince people to pay. If you want to go down the premium app route, consider having a basic free version to encourage people to download the app in the first place. You can then provide the option of upgrading to a premium plan once users realize how useful the app is.
I really like point #1. So many people I talk to are excited about their idea because nobody is doing it or else they don’t want to do something because someone already is. I’m a believer that no competition is a worse sign than a lot of competition. If you were mining for gold back in the day, would you rather be near San Francisco where everyone was finding gold, or would you rather be in New Mexico with no competition (assuming nobody found gold in New Mexico)? The analogy is a little weak, but it gets the point across. Thanks for the great post, and keep up the legendary work.
So we have to ask, why are these women really using the site? The money's important — and they do make quite a bit. It's hard to pin down average figures because people work different hours on the site, but one user has said she made up to $55,000 in a year. NaughtyJo even tells me someone bought her a new phone after she broke her last one. And men are paying these sums for friendship at least as much as they are titillation: perhaps more so.
Add a few plugins. WordPress is king in this area which is why I advocate starting out with them. There are plugins out there for pretty much anything you can think of website related but starting out you may just need WordPress Jetpack. As you blog more and network with other bloggers, then you’ll realize what they use and go through a trial and error period to see what works for you.
Why am I telling you all of this? The answer is pretty simple. I want you to get the understanding that making money online (at least in the initial stages), takes A LOT of STUDY and WORK! That's the unknown secret of Internet Marketing Gurus. Anyone can make a few hundred dollars. To be quite honest, you can make a few hundred dollars in your FIRST MONTH as a Freebie Trader. To be even MORE honest, it's much harder to profit $2,000+ each and every month, which is the reason I built this blog, and so many other people have their blogs on Internet Marketing – To save you the struggles that we had in getting going.
