As we stated earlier, you can get paid for the weirdest things on the Internet. Some people are willing to give you money to take a picture of their product in a shop or buy something at a supermarket to evaluate the service. There are many apps and websites who will engage you in that kind of simple activities for a small sum but it doesn’t cost you anything.
In the beginning, it was rough for Sharpe. No one out there should think that it's going to be easy whatsoever. His journey took years and years to go from an absolute beginner, to a fluid and seasoned professional, able to clearly visualize and achieve his dreams, conveying his vast knowledge expertly to those hungry-minded individuals out there looking to learn how to generate a respectable income online.
While employed at architecture firm in 2007, Pat Flynn noticed that no one in his department was taking advantage of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The reason? The exam was extremely difficult to pass. Pat realized this opportunity and created a blog to help people study for the exam. Pat has since championed “passive income,” with 12 websites and an accumulated 100,000 email subscribers.

My understanding is that you have to subscribe/pay for the business version of Word Press in order to use any of the monetizing functions. I think you should clearly state this in this article at the beginning. I think there is a degree of bait and switch here if people are just signing up for the free subscription and then finding out they have to pay for a subscription to make money. I am ok with that, it just needs to be stated up front everywhere.

Etsy: While Etsy's popularity has declined recently, it's still a great resource for selling handmade items online. No need for complex ecommerce sites or merchant accounts or any sort of automation. The company takes a commission of every sale and charges a small listing fee per item. But many still use Etsy as their primary source of income. The best part is that you can also sell digital products on here such as poster designs.

To get started with Amazon affiliate marketing you will need to sign up with Amazon Affiliates. Then subtly market products on your site that are relevant to your niche and will be of interest to your audience. Make sure you only endorse high-quality products. If your visitors make a purchase on your recommendation but are not impressed with the item, you could quickly lose followers.
I would like to warn people to freelance on a single platform, Fiverr and Upwork for example are arbitrarily closing accounts of thousands and thousands of freelancers who have been working hard sometimes for many years to build their portfolio, only to get their account closed in a matter of minutes because some rules and policy changed, and a little mistake (like for instance asking a customer to change a review in exchange of improving the delivery) would get your account PERMANENTLY suspended with all your money frozen for 90 days.
If you’re willing to take on some risk and have the heart of a true hustler, you can make extra money online doing commission-only sales for startups and other businesses. While you won’t be getting a regular salary, with the right sales strategies and skills as an inside sales rep, you can make decent money for each sale you bring in. And because you’ll most likely be working with startups, if you can negotiate a little equity you could profit big time if you're pitching a solid product and the startup succeeds.
can’t always judge a book by its cover. I try not to judge people too harshly, especially based on how they look. I’m surprised man. YOu’re a musical artist. I make 5 figures a year online and if I had a dime for every person who tried to judge me based on my appearance I would be at 6 already. There’s my dirty hoodie and my cheap whiteboard behind me. Can’t believe I wanted to interview you man. Would hate for you to have to slum it up with the likes of me and the rest of the dirty shirted cheap whiteboard having marketers. Peace. -Kam
Jon, I just found your website, and am so grateful I did! I’ve had a blog for over 3 years now, but am just taking it to the next level. I’m floored by how much there is to learn. I think your analogy of the puzzle is spot on. There are so many pieces to put together. I agree that to succeed, that it’s all about marketing. I’ve seen this time and time again, whether it be with books, shows, movies. Yes, the content and quality have to be there, but if there’s no quality and intelligent marketing behind it, it will flop. There are brilliant ideas, books never published or made bestsellers, all because they lacked the right marketing tools.
Great list! Another suggestion would be transcribing. Transcribing really requires very little skill or capital to get started. You can sign up with companies like Elance and Odesk to find jobs OR reach straight out to producers of audio content to see if they need help. With the huge trend in podcasting a great place to start would be by perusing iTunes for podcast shows that may need help turning their audio podcast episodes into text for their website or “show notes.”
Infographics are currently an extremely popular type of media. An infographic showing information or data in an interesting and fun way can help engage an audience and generate numerous likes and shares. As infographics take more time to create than just simply uploading an image, busy website owners are prepared to pay for custom infographics. And don’t worry, an infographic can be created using simple design software such a Canva. So extensive graphic design skills are not necessary, just a creative eye.

There are free websites available but they do not look professional and I highly advise against them. Free websites and blogs can be built at blogger.com or wordpress.com but they will always have blogger, blogspot, or WordPress in the title. For example, if I had started BOLD & DETERMINED on a free platform the domain name would be boldanddetermined.wordpress.com and I would never, ever be able to change that until I purchased a real domain name. If your goal is to make a professional money making website you must purchase your own domain name(s).

As long as there is still the written word, there will always be editors. Freelance editing and proofreading not only pays a decent hourly wage, it also gives you the chance to read about potentially interesting topics too. What's more, pursuing freelance writing & editing as a business idea can afford you a lifestyle that lets you travel the world as a digital nomad. You can find lots of job postings from companies and individuals in need of writing, proofreading, and editing services on Upwork, which makes this a high-demand opportunity to make money online.
A great example of this is the website:  flexsealspraycan.com.  Keep in mind, this is a niche website that’s hyper focused on one product: Flex Seal.  The money maker here is that for every sale they make, they get a split percentage from the sale.  This varies with each affiliate company but it can range from $8-$12 per sale depending on volume.  So you see, you can focus on several products at a time or one as with this example.
Holy, moly, what a list! I’ve thought about pursuing a couple of these. Should really get on it. I’ve done a couple more of them. My sibling has been an extra in a couple of movies, but made no $ off of it. But we’re talking literally a stadium full of extras in one case….think Pittsburghers might have been too excited to be in a movie to ask for cash? Or maybe they just don’t pay crowds?
Then there are those who are just lucky. Back in college, I had a friend who convinced me to get into investing in the stock market. They had put $1,800 into a penny stock and from one day to the next, it increased in value (luckily) from $1,800 to $25,000. When I heard about that, I could not believe my ears. I decided to take $4,800 of my tuition money and invested into stock. I remember the value of my stock fluctuating between $4,200 and $5,400 a few times.

It doesn’t work like that. The job of a blogger isn’t that easy. A blogger is a person who has a specific knowledge, understanding, or information to share with the specific audience via blog publishing. Suppose a blogger is a knowledgeable person, he keeps his research going on the specific topic (which is known as niche or category of the blog in blogging field) and has got enough material to share in a dozen of blog posts for a couple of weeks.

the problem with “CashCrate” is that the amount of money that u get out of it is VERY slim.. and even to get that VERY slim portion of money you have to complete a lot of surveys and to cash-in on the money you earned u must make over $20, trust me. i tried it, it took me over 6-12 months to get the cash.. i used the site like if my life depended on it. it was very hard.

With active income, you’re actively working to produce those wages. So if you work for someone else and you’re earning a per-hourly fee or you have clients and you’re working for yourself, you’re still engaged in active-income employment. However, if something were to happen to your ability to work, for example, you would be unable to produce an income. This could be anything from an injury to an illness or disease, and everything in between, when you can’t work, you can’t earn.

I think what annoys me the most about MyGirlFund.com as opposed to similar sites is the simple (yet fairly evil) premise upon which it's built: to milk men and women of their money by fostering online relationships while at the same time keeping client and "product" absolutely partitioned from each other in every other way. The premise is fine if you're just going for personal porn images for an exchange of money, but the intent of the site goes much deeper than that. It plays with human emotional attachments and encourages pretty women to prey upon these attachments by being good liars — all to make a dime.
Thanks for the comments. Ironically, this post showed up in my RSS about 10 minutes after I asked myself why I was not getting the conversions I expected. If nothing else, it was encouraging. I get several thousand hits to my blog each year. My problem is that I get hits from all over the nation and my industry (health insurance) requires a state license. I can only offer general advice to people in Califonia. In order for me to earn any money, my prospects have to live in one of the states in which I am licensed and have a competitive product. I have tried advertising on Facebook for hits in my state but have been underwhelmed. I need more state specific hits. Does Google advertising work or would you have another idea for building state specific readership.
One thing I would mention is that one of my mentors told me recently that jumping from project to project is a terrible thing to do and will ensure that you aren’t able to dominate any one niche and make as much as you can. Focus is definitely needed if you are going to be successful online. Perfect one thing and then move on to the next – That’s what I would say.

If you're looking to address some immediate financial needs, then the app economy is likely right for you. Thanks to the global sharing phenomenon, launched in part by our smartphones and ever-burgeoning global connectivity, you could easily opt for some quick active income by using well-known apps. From ride sharing to deliveries and even quick tasks, there's an app for that today, as the saying goes.

I keep a high energy, positive vibe when talking about making money online. If you work INTELLIGENTLY, it becomes quite easy. It is really easy, actually, but so few people act intelligently, it’s scary. Take my comments. If I write a really in-depth, value-packed comment on this blog, and on Problogger, my SEO juice goes through the roof, my blog reaches page 1 or 2 of google for a very competitive keyword, and I get 500 to 1000 hungry eyeballs on my blog, an any given day. Not bad for 5 to 10 minutes of offering my opinion, right? So for me, it’s easy to drive tons of targeted traffic to my blog, and make money. But if you scroll the comments section, most people do not act intelligently. No impactful comments. No click throughs. No backlink juice. Poor search engine rank.
iWriter – iWriter is an old site which pays up to $15 for each accepted post. That may seem small, but they aren’t as strict as many of the others above, they are also recognised by many sites and are well known and famous. The thing i like about them is that they also allow you to pick exactly what you write. You can write as many or as few articles as you want. They will also assign you a category of writers and people can self choose you for their writing needs.
Data entering is a job that requires minimum qualification and a good understanding of excel sheets and basic understanding of internet and the laptop. Even if you are only done with the high school, you can opt for this job. The different corporate sites are always in search of people who can do data entering effectively and they usually pay well, enough to help you contribute in your expenses.
You can't expect to make any money if you just throw in that towel and call it quits right when the going gets tough. Even if you fail or you experience some setbacks, look at them as stepping stones, not road blocks. Everyone fails while trying to achieve their goals. Everyone. But, as long as you continually seek to improve, you'll make it there. It just might not happen as quickly as you had hoped.
Do you have a DSL-R and like to capture photos? or if you are good with photo taking, a simple mobile camera can also do the job. Sometimes the most usual or unusual photos taken , road signs, mountains, walls or any interesting thing you like. If you have a large collection of high quality photo’s lying around, why don’t you sell them and make money online?
An online business community offers a different experience. You get a chance to get trained at the right place before you start building your online presence, and online business community can help you achieve this. Online business communities provide their members with a lot of text and video lessons which in most cases is more than enough to start building a business on the right foot.
most of these site you have to be older then 18, so thus you couldn’t do any of them unless in your parents name, also you would need their credit card or pay pal account, which i don’t think any parent would let their kid have that account, best advice i can tell you is to try working in lawn care, good for you wanted to start working young, i know how hard it can be living in a small town with poor parents, mabye ask around for idea, beware of the net though, net jobs are mostly scams and they onces that aren’t you mostly have to be 18, mabye if you don’t need a permit in your town sell cookies, or your old toys in a yard sale. cleaning jobs, are good. good luck, i know what it like being you, work hard
Upwork: This website offers a great marketplace for selling just about any professional service. You don't need a merchant account, website of your own or anything else for that matter. All you need to do is be able to provide a high-quality service at a reasonable price. But be informed, you will have to compete with many others that are constantly bidding on open jobs.

This is a fantastic article and it really has given me help. I want to go to this thing in the summer called Creation Fest and it has music and speackers to celebrate God and it costs a lot! I was looking for help and I found this. $100+ seems easy at first but then your stuck when your my age. Thanks a whole bunch and I will probably come back again.
Paypal – Paypal is one way for you to accept payment for your website, goods and services. It's very easy to set up. FYI – You can donate some of your hard earned money to me for producing this helpful and free guide for you. Paypal accepts all major credit cards, to make a donation you do not even need a Paypal account. But you will likely need to open a Paypal account to receive payments.
If you love music, you’ll love this gig. Simply head over to Slicethepie.com and start reviewing unsigned artists and bands to earn some extra cash. Your payment per review is based on the quality of the reviews you turn out on the site, so it may take a little time to build up your reputation. But according to Slicethepie, “The better your review, the bigger the bonus payment.” The site also offers a referral program where if any of your friends sign up using your referral code and write reviews, then you’ll receive  bonus payments for every review they submit.
But don't make the mistake of thinking this will be a passive source of income—you're on call whenever you have a guest and you'll always need to keep the place clean for incoming visitors. On top of just renting on Airbnb, consider offering your guests paid add-ons, like Lauren Gheysens', Royal Day Out in London, England—where she gives visitors a local's only tour of the city, complete with bespoke 18th century costumes.
There are loads of resources for making money online as an affiliate. You could source products from ClickBank, Commission Junction, Rakuten Marketing, Share-a-Sale, Impact Radius and many others. Plus, many of the larger companies have their own affiliate programs as well. Do your due diligence and find the right company with a relevant product or service to your audience that you can sell as an affiliate.
One part of this article I took with interest is where you mention an affiliate should try the product before making reviews to which makes a lot of sense however I have not found one bloody product that I have purchased online that I can give a favorable review off as most of these products where just shabby junk or the ones that did make a half grade with me had service where I would not get an answer back to my issues for at least 48 hours.

You know those top-down cooking or craft videos you just can’t seem to get away from these days? There are people out there making a living from them. 78% of B2C companies depend on user-generated content, like those videos, for their marketing campaigns. You can sign up as a creator on a site like Darby Smart and potentially work with brands like Nordstrom, Mattel, and BarkBox. Or, use them to build your YouTube following and monetize through ads and views.
The pay is .25 per minute of talk time. Agents typically make anywhere from $7-$14 per hour. As for the hours, they are totally flexible. You can choose which shifts you want to work each week and the shifts are broken down into half hour increments giving you optimal flexibility. You can even log in and work if you are not scheduled for some impromptu cash.”
Teespring is a great website to start your t-shirt business. They have a great designing editor and a list of active buyers who are seeking to buy best possible shirts. Once you design your shirt, you can upload it on Teespring, they will adjust as per your variants and size of your offerings. Once it goes live, you will have a limited number of dates to sell a particular desired quantity.
The Truth? You don't often come across genuine individuals in this space. I could likely count on one hand who those genuine-minded marketers might be. Someone like Russel Brunson who's developed a career out of providing true value in the field and helping to educate the uneducated is one such name. However, while Brunson has built a colossal business, the story of David Sharpe and his journey to becoming an 8-figure earner really hits home for most people.
Video is growing like crazy. And more and more people are looking for professional help cutting their raw footage into viral-worthy content. If you have the right software and a bit of skill, you can easily make money online as a video editor. Check out these article of Fstoppers on how to become an online video editor and then look for relevant jobs on Mandy.com, Creative Cow Job Search, or ProductionHub.
You could also opt to use existing websites for making money. These include both active income and passive income methods. For example, you could sell some used items or invest in creating some digital designs that then can be sold on merchandise. Again, devote a sizable portion of your time to passive income so that you can slowly build up earnings that will arrive on autopilot without any extra added effort.

Active income requires your time and you can only produce as much money as your time allows. For example, a doctor or a lawyer who charge high per-hour or per-consultation fees and make exorbitant amounts of cash are stifled by the amount of time they have in a day. We all have the same 24 hours. Not one person on this earth gets more time than the next. It’s the greatest equalizer in life. When the time you work directly correlates to your income, it’s called active income.

White labeling products involves purchasing pre-made products from a supplier and then adding your own labeling and branding. Products could range from candles to gym equipment or even tea, but all will come without labels, allowing you to create your own new range of merchandise. Most suppliers will advertise the fact they offer white labeled goods on their websites, so pick your niche and then find the right supplier and product for you. Once labeled, products can be sold via sites like eBay and Amazon, or from your own eCommerce store (discussed in a moment).

I saw this Panda in Hong Kong. He was just facing the wall in this concrete room instead of hanging out in the fake grass. We could only see him through the TV monitor. I saw this look a million times when I used to work in an office. Why should you start making money online? Freedom. You don't want to end up like Prison panda. You can be free IF you work to get there.
The first thing it takes is a CHANGE in MINDSET! I know, you've heard it before, but it's the absolute truth. I'm not going to give you some sort of 5 step plan to online success. That almost makes it sound too easy. What I am going to do is provide you with resources. I'm doing it this way because I'm NOT trying to sell you some sort of dream. Actually, yes I am trying to sell you a dream. A dream that can only come through if you make the decision that it has to come through.
Amazon offers a service called Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), which can be extremely useful for arbitrage sellers, or others selling their own products. If you opt for FBA, Amazon will store, pick, pack and deliver your products. That means you can scale your arbitrage business quickly as you don’t have to store products in your own home or waste time with postage.

Best article I’ve read in a long time. I’m be traveling to Kiev on Monday so I’ll miss your webinar – but I’m sharing this with lots of folks who should listen in. Your point on technology is SO important. We learned way more than I ever thought we would on front-end, back-end and everything in between. There are so many people out there willing to build you a website – it’s important to know what you’re getting and what you own and that it’s original work. It’s amazing how many people don’t know how important these issues are. Thanks Jon for the inspiration this morning.
